Translating raw power into multi-surface acceleration are the 2.8" RXT 6-spoke black wheels wrapped in all-new high-performance Sledgehammer® ST tires, which use an open-block tread pattern to fling mud and debris clear for unrivaled loose-surface traction.
• Innovation, Extreme HD Upgrade Kit & Modular Frame (Innovation): Built to survive brutal terrain, the Rustler 4X4 comes pre-equipped with the factory Extreme Heavy-Duty Upgrade Kit. Caster blocks, axle carriers, and steering blocks are heavily reinforced with extra material and paired with HD suspension arms. The shaft-driven 4WD driveline incorporates a rigid center driveshaft and the all-new Torque-Biasing Center Drive unit to cushion driveline shocks. Power reaches the wheels via oversized Maxx-duty driveshafts with 6 mm axles and steel hexes. Maintenance is simplified by a modular composite tub design, allowing the entire front section to be removed with 5 screws and the rear with just 4 screws.
• 4-Latch Clipless Body Mounting System: No body posts or pins ruin the sleek aerodynamic lines. The newly optimized clipless design features 4 secure internal latches hidden right above each wheel. Simply drop the body into place to snap it shut with absolute retention during harsh flips, yet squeeze the quick tabs to access the chassis for fast battery changes.
• Next-Generation Velineon 3s Brushless Power: The system relies on the new fan-cooled Velineon® VX3 electronic speed control paired with the V3200 sensorless brushless motor (3200 Kv, 5 mm shaft). It unchains over 55 km/h on 2S LiPo and spikes past 80 km/h on 3S LiPo out of the box. The ESC provides three driving profiles (Sport, Race, and the patented 50% Training Mode™), linear braking resolution, and real-time telemetry capability through Traxxas Link™.
• Composite GTR Shocks: Working alongside the long-travel suspension are the newly fitted large-bore composite GTR shocks featuring 3.5 mm shafts. Holding over 70% more oil volume than standard Ultra Shocks, they maintain smooth, consistent damping properties across rough terrain.
• Traxxas Stability Management (TSM): TSM® works seamlessly behind the scenes to harness the extreme 4WD output on slick surfaces. It maintains steering direction to eliminate fish-tailing during hard launches or heavy braking without ever blunting your throttle response. Adjust or disable it instantly right from the TQi™ Sport 2.4 GHz transmitter.
